EDM LABS LTD. was founded in 1987.  In 1989 Frank Wenzel was hired as an EDM Operator.  Six months later Frank purchased the business.  Frank comes from a family of machinists and spent 5 years in the United States Navy as a Machinery Repairman on the USS Elmer Montgomery and the USS Holland.  His father was a Tool and Die Maker for 45 years, and his brother has been a machinist for 17 years.  

In 1990 Frank hired his brother Richard to join him at his new company.  Later in 1992 we hired Ray Hawkins as a novice.  What started as a two CNC machine shop with two people has grown to a crew of four with 7 CNC machines:  3 wire machines, 1 sinker, 1 EDM drill, and a CNC mill, along with various other standard machining and inspection equipment.
